While the warmer weather normally brings with it a busier social calendar, there are numerous ways that you can embrace the faster pace without overindulging or tossing out your current routine.
Here are some tips to ensure that you keep your eating (and lifestyle) habits in-check as you prepare for the gorgeous summer-season ahead.

1. Drink enough water

Did you know that people often confuse their own thirst and hunger signals? You may actually experience a reduction in food cravings and impulses to overeat if you simply drink more water.

Since our bodies are made up of over 60% water, it’s essential that you drink at least half of your body weight in ounces each day; something that’s easily achievable if you’re loading up on raw fruits and vegetables and lots of herbal teas. A good way to judge is by peeking at the colour of your urine; it should be a faint yellow colour if you’re well-hydrated.

2. Be THAT person at your social gatherings…

…You know, the person who brings the healthy dish or dessert! It seems as though a greater number of people are consciously avoiding sugar, salt, gluten, dairy or artificial food products these days.

Your family, friends, and your stomach will thank you for providing the healthy and delicious option that keeps belly-bloat far away (plus, you don’t have to think twice about indulging in seconds of this dish!) You can get inspired by visiting some recipe blogs or checking out healthy cookbooks.

3. Drink a green smoothie before you go out

Consuming a smoothie packed with lots of water, spinach, kale, and some type of protein will certainly pay off if you’re worried about overeating!

The leafy greens are loaded with fiber which keeps you feeling fuller longer and normalizes your blood sugar, and a healthy dose of protein from hemp seeds or protein powder keeps you satiated. Additionally, because a green smoothie is loaded with vitamins and minerals it will keep cravings to a minimum so that you can spend a little extra time socializing and less time snacking.

4. Pass on extra drinks, appetizers, seconds, and desserts

Our bodies do not enjoy using all available energy on food digestion, so be sure to skip the appetizers if you plan to indulge in a piece of dessert or vice-versa. It’s no wonder you end up on the couch after overeating at social gatherings!

Without feeling like you’re depriving yourself, ensure that you mindfully pick and choose what goes into that beautiful, healthy body of yours. If you have your green smoothie beforehand, you can surely keep the appetizers to a minimum!

5. Go for a walk!

Getting your heart pumping and enjoying a few breaths of fresh air can do wonders for your body (and for putting a stop to overeating)!

When I’m in a ravenous mood and know that I’m truly not hungry for anything but sweets and snacks, I simply take a brisk 20-minute walk. By the time I get back my cravings have usually disappeared and I’m able to reassess the mindless eating habit.Clash of Clans Online Hack and Cheat
